The title song from the film 'Three Coins in the Fountain' starring Clifton Webb, Dorothy McGuire, Jean Peters, Louis Jourdan, Maggie McNamara and Rossano Brazzi won the Oscar for best original song in 1954. The song was a number 1 hit for the Four Aces and it was heard during the title and credits at the opening of the movie. The film tells the story of three American girls looking for romance. Each girl throws a coin into the Trevi Fountain in Rome while making a wish. Three Coins in the Fountain was also a top-10 recording for Frank Sinatra and still another version by Julius LaRosa made it into the top 20.
